At our host home, we went to a soccer game and ate pizza! But my favorite thing ws being at the church, listening to the pastor preach the word of God and worshipping together.

It was Halloween and we got to hand out candies to the children. It was fun- and the coolest costumes were a skeleton and a baseball head.

The host home children taught me how to ride the “long board” (skateboard) and the “grass truck” (lawn mower)- but don’t worry, the blade was turned off.

  1. You know, we always hear how much Africa needs our help. I want to tell you how much America needs your help and how honored I was to see God’s glory on all of you. I had really been struggling in an area with my faith and your faces and joy put everything back into perspective for me. Thank you so much for coming. God’s light was truly shining through each of you.

    God bless,

    Stephen

  3. We attend St. Mark’s church and were so blessed to see and hear you guys! As I type, I listen to the cd we purchased that weekend. I can’t wait for the next time you guys are back in North Carolina!

  4. John N,
I’m glad (hopefully) that you enjoyed North Carolina. I got to meet you when the Choir was leaving from Stone Gate in Weddington NC. You and others signed my CD! I remember you signing it below your picture on the cover. Please tell everyone that we loved having you all at Weddington Community Church! Please also pass on my hello’s and blessing to Patrica, Josephine Karambu and Grace who we hosted. Please tell them that it is only Friday night and we miss them so much!
