Join The Daraja Choir Intern Team!

We are looking for talented individuals who desire to use their gifts, talents, time and passion to help bring to life God’s wonderful story through the Daraja Children’s Choir.


Intern tasks include teaching, parenting, costume ironing, bus cleaning, lunch packing, inventory counting, spreadsheet writing, advocating child-sponsorship, merchandise selling, laundry folding, and host home loving. Through your love and sacrifice as an intern, you will experience tremendous spiritual growth and a fulfilling experience.

Intern Requirements:

  • Age: approximately 18-25 years old
  • Seek to glorify God in all things with a willingness to serve in many capacities
  • Lead with a servant heart

Details:

  • Age: approximately 18-25 years old
  • Take the children back home at the end of tour.
  • Raise $4,500 for the trip to Africa.

A Day In The Life of A Daraja Intern:

  • Be a knowledgable representative of the 410 Bridge and Daraja Choir at all times (in host homes, rest stops, churches, etc)
  • Disciple and love all of the Choir children in a Christ-like manner
  • Serve as a mediator between host families and the 2-3 Choir children staying in the home
  • Advocate for the children’s best interest in host homes through staying on schedule, encouraging appropriate food choices, and following all guidelines
  • Assist teachers during school time
  • Fulfill assigned roles during concerts
  • Take part in daily devotions and one-on-one time with Daraja tour directors

Frequently Asked Questions About the Daraja Internship:

Yes, Daraja Choir interns are between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.
We prefer applicants be one year out of high school before the tour starts; however, we will consider applicants that graduate the spring before tour.
Because of the relational nature of this position, we are only looking for interns who will be able to join us for the entire tour.
Yes, the money needed to fundraise is $4,500 for the service trip to escort the children back to their homes at the end of tour. We have a great system set up to help your fundraising be successful.
Not at all. We realize that not everyone has had this opportunity before, but we do ask that you have an appreciation and interest in other cultures.
You will not need any shots for the US tour, but vaccinations may be necessary for the international travel at the end of tour.
If your school will accept an internship with our organization for credit, we would be more than happy to do everything on our end to make sure you receive credit.
